Terms of Use

These Terms govern your access to and use of YaarWithin.

YaarWithin is built and run by Ankul Kithania, based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

By using YaarWithin, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

1. What YaarWithin is

YaarWithin is an AI space where you can talk through what is on your mind.

You are talking to artificial intelligence, not a person.

It is currently an invite-only closed beta. Features and behaviour may change as we learn from the people using it.

2. Who can use it

You must be 18 or older. By using YaarWithin you confirm that you are. We do not verify age beyond asking, and if we learn someone under 18 is using it, we will close their access and delete their information.

Your invite is meant for you. Please do not sell it, transfer it, or post it publicly. Invite links work once each, so a forwarded link will not create a second account.

A working email address is required. It is how you confirm your account and how you get back in on a new device or after clearing your browser. If you lose access to that mailbox and also lose your device, we may not be able to restore your account or your conversations. You can change your recovery email at any time from your settings.

You are responsible for keeping your device and your access secure. Tell us at support@yaarwithin.com if you think someone else has reached your account.

3. YaarWithin is not professional care

YaarWithin is not a therapist, psychologist, doctor, counsellor, healthcare provider, crisis line, or emergency service. It is not a medical device.

It does not diagnose or treat anything, and it does not give medical, mental health, legal or financial advice. It is not a substitute for a qualified professional.

Do not rely on YaarWithin for medical, legal, financial or other high-impact decisions.

If you or someone else may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services, or a person you trust who can help in the real world.

YaarWithin includes some automatic checks that try to notice when a conversation turns toward serious distress, and it may show you support resources when that happens. These checks are imperfect and must not be relied on. They can miss things, and they can react to things that were not what they seemed.

We do not routinely monitor conversations live. Conversations may be read afterwards, as described in the Privacy Policy, but that is review after the fact. We cannot promise that a safety concern will be noticed, or that anyone will respond.

4. AI responses have limits

AI is a developing technology. What YaarWithin says may be:

• wrong or incomplete;
• wrong for your particular situation;
• inconsistent with something it said earlier;
• based on misunderstanding what you meant; or
• unavailable because something broke.

You decide whether and how to act on anything YaarWithin says.

5. Using YaarWithin responsibly

Use YaarWithin for your own personal, lawful purposes.

Please do not:

• use it for anything illegal;
• threaten, exploit or deliberately harm another person;
• impersonate someone else, or claim access you do not have;
• share passwords, financial credentials, or information about others that you have no right to share;
• try to reach YaarWithin systems or another person's information without authorisation;
• interfere with, overload or disrupt the service;
• introduce malicious software;
• scrape or access the service with unauthorised automated tools;
• try to extract source code, prompts, model outputs at scale, or security mechanisms;
• use YaarWithin or its outputs to build, train or improve a competing product;
• sell, sublicense or commercially exploit your beta access.

Talking honestly about distress, difficult experiences or painful thoughts does not violate these Terms. That is what YaarWithin is for.

You can talk about other people and your relationships. Please avoid sharing identifying or confidential details about them that are not needed for what you are working through.

6. Content you submit

You are responsible for what you submit, and you confirm you have the right to submit it.

By submitting content to YaarWithin, you grant us a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, sublicensable and transferable licence to host, store, reproduce, modify, adapt, create derivative works from, analyse and otherwise use that content for any purpose connected with operating, securing, evaluating, developing and improving YaarWithin and our products and services.

This includes using conversations to develop and train AI models used in current or future versions of YaarWithin, as described in our Privacy Policy.

This licence continues after you stop using YaarWithin, so that we can keep operating and improving the product and meet our legal obligations. It does not permit us to sell your personal information or use your conversations for advertising, and we do not do either.

If you send us product ideas, suggestions or feature feedback, we may use them freely, without owing you payment, credit or any stake in YaarWithin.

How your information is collected, reviewed, kept and deleted is set out in the Privacy Policy.

7. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how it is used and shared.

By using YaarWithin you accept that your messages are processed by YaarWithin and by third-party AI, hosting and infrastructure providers, including providers outside India, as described there.

8. Voluntary contributions

During the closed beta, YaarWithin may invite you to contribute after a conversation.

Contributing is entirely optional. Nothing is held back if you do not. A contribution does not buy ownership, shares, or any stake in YaarWithin, and it does not guarantee continued access or particular features.

Payments are handled through UPI by third-party services under their own terms. We never ask for or store your UPI PIN or banking password.

9. Ownership of YaarWithin

YaarWithin, including its software, design, branding, prompts, conversation systems, evaluations, features and original content, belongs to its operator or relevant licensors.

These Terms give you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable permission to use it. They do not transfer ownership of anything to you.

10. This is a closed beta

YaarWithin is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent the law allows.

Because it is a beta:

• features may change, break, or be removed;
• conversations or account information may be temporarily unavailable;
• access may be limited;
• the beta may be paused or ended; and
• we do not promise it will always be secure, uninterrupted or error-free.

Where we reasonably can, we will avoid changes that needlessly affect your saved conversations or your privacy.

11. Suspending or ending access

You can stop using YaarWithin whenever you like.

We may suspend or end your access, with or without notice, if:

• you breach these Terms;
• your use threatens the security or operation of the service;
• continued access would create legal or safety risk;
• we discontinue or substantially change the beta; or
• we reasonably believe your access has been compromised or misused.

Where reasonably practicable, we will tell you why your access was suspended or ended. We may act without prior notice where immediate action is needed for security, legal or safety reasons.

You can ask us to delete your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

12. Our responsibility to you

To the fullest extent the law allows, we will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential losses arising from your use of, or inability to use, YaarWithin.

Our total liability for any claim connected with YaarWithin will not exceed the greater of what you contributed in the twelve months before the claim, or ₹5,000.

Nothing here excludes or limits any responsibility or right that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including responsibility for fraud or wilful misconduct and rights available under applicable consumer law.

13. Your responsibility to us

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless YaarWithin and its operator against claims, losses, liabilities and reasonable costs arising from:

• your breach of these Terms;
• your misuse of YaarWithin;
• content you submit that you had no right to submit; or
• your violation of the rights of another person.

14. Third-party services

YaarWithin depends on third-party services: AI providers, hosting, databases, email and payments.

We are not responsible for third-party products or websites outside our control, and their own terms may apply when you use them.

15. Changes

We may update YaarWithin and these Terms as the beta develops.

When something meaningful changes, we will update the date at the top and give reasonable notice through the product, the website, or the contact details we have. For significant changes we will ask you to agree again before you continue.

If you do not agree with an update, stop using YaarWithin.

For anything about your personal information, write to privacy@yaarwithin.com. Our Privacy Policy explains how those are handled.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India.

If part of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
